Put points into the Mental area, and especially on consistency and your offensive mental skills. Your overall will shoot up. Also, does anyone know how high I need my dunk stat to unlock the Jordan dunk pack? I'm guessing 99, but thought I'd ask.
Been playing this quite a bit too. It's orsm, but it feels a bit like the junior detectives South Park episode - "hey, you've become a junior/rookie, now go mark LeBron James and Kobe Bryant, and we expect you to always stop them from scoring". Also my teammates are assholes, they either take too long after a pass to score, and it doesn't count as an assist, or they miss completely from like a metre away.
Haha, yeah, I know what you mean on both accounts. I'm currently about to play the Heat, and I have to mark Dwayne Wade. I started the match, played a quarter and was down to D+. D ****ing +. My career average is A+. I rage quit. I'll do it later.
TBH I did beat the Heat in the one game I played against them, having had to mark both Wade and LaBron at different times of the match. Lost both against the Lakers tho, Bryant and Gasol just own my team. I got drafted to the Grizzlies, and I guess I have the shittier Gasol, who got owned by his bro.

Does anyone else have their teams run set plays all the time? It's annoying as he'll. I can't get the ball
Nope, I pretty much just call for the ball, and they give it to me all the time...well, as long as I'm at least a B+ in the current match. Another thing that annoys me is how the game suddenly tells you to mark up a different player, who is on the opposite side of the court and who is like a second away from shooting...and usually not missing.
It started happening for me 10 or so games ago. It's just plays all game. I have to stand on a blue circle then it'll tell me where to run.
Yea I'm a 6'4 PG but spend 38/40mins playing SG. Helps when you have a vertical of 90. My ovr is only 51. Haha yea. Ray allen, Kobe and Wade have all torn me a new one. Didn't help when I got injured in the 1st qtr against LAL. Was limping for the rest of the game.
Since my teammates are pretty crap, I've just been pumping my mid range shooting, and just going for 2s as much as possible. Working well for me. When I first started I tried to concentrate on 3s, but FMD I just can't get them right.
I'm pretty good wit 3s. Knocked down 7 3s the other game. It's pretty much 3 or layup/dunk for me. Only time I shoot mid-range if is I pump-fake from 3 and the defender jumps, I take a step inwards and shoot. Only if the paint is crowded, if not I'll go for layup/dunk.
Yeah, that was the patch. It's good in theory, but it's pretty shitty in practice. I deleted the patch in the end, until they fix it. A shame too, because everything else they did in it was pretty good.
Team plays should be run imo that is really the only difference between the nba and streetbasketball.
Fuuuuuuu. Was just having the best game ever. 24 points, 11 assists, 4 rebounds, 3 blocks, 1 steal and it was still only 2nd qtr. Picked up an injury. Third one this year!! Still got motm.
