Nearly NRL14 Free Comp

There are 16 spots.

Those who played last year or were committed to playing in the other thread this year get first priority, it's then first in first served there after (based on posts in this thread). Those who have reserved spots need to confirm their spot by posting in this thread before lunch time Saturday, I will then PM the password you'll need to register and you will need to do so before Sunday.

Competition is;

- 16 teams
- NRL Finals System
- Salary Cap of $6.3m
- Squad sizes of 25 players
- Bench players score full points
- No forward battle
- Captains score double points
- No coaches
- Limit of 1 goalkicker per team
- Shows that a bid has been place during the regular season only
- After the initial recruitment period bids will end 24 hours after the initial bid is place on a player.

My aim is to have the competition full before Sunday with the initial bidding process scheduled to end on Monday @ 9pm. That'll give everyone all of Sunday and the majority of Monday to sort out their bids out.

A bit of reasoning behind some the changes from previous years;

- There's no visibility on how many or if any bid has been placed on a player during the initial recruitment process so there's no advantage or disadvantage to when you put in your bids.

- Captains will score double, I've played with it in other comps and I think it requires genuine thought & promotes discussion. It also makes picking your team a little more than the mundane task of checking the respective rounds team lineups.

If there's any major blow ups about rules then I'm happy to change but there wasn't really time to get the thoughts of everyone and still have the comp up and running by Round 2.

I've got work Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday night.

Only real disadvantage is your bids might end a couple hours later than everyone elses.

Was hoping we could just have 3 set days in a row where the bidding ended at 9pm before it started to get scattered but it doesn't seem to be an option.
