Yeh I think its wise. Just so we dont get someone like Bender who was #1 drpping out of the top 10... and someone who hasnt played a match but got a shit load of posts taking his place.
But what if we've improved during season 2 so far? Or does that not count as season 2 any longer? Would be interesting to see what the updated rankings are for the current progress through season 2.
But you have to have a way for the new people to actually be as good as the old people. Historical stats cannot be changed, so it's not entirely fair if they had any bearing on what is current.
Yeah a bit, but I don't think they should be used too much. New sim and stuff, also I think that rewarding ongoing activity is important, so maybe to a tiny tiny extent but not that much. That's my opinion on it, but it's a bit unfair if Bender remains awesome even though someone else has overtaken him due to prolonged activity.
Which is why I think averaging SR ranking with PR will work best. Means if anyone has dropped off the SR radar and been overtaken then they will lose out because of it. But those who have remained active and were good dont lose out.
Averaging implies 50/50. Current activity should be worth more than past results. Especially when those results were random.
No use whatever % he was going to use from the PR, but make a new list by averaging out ranking with PR. So mr x is 14th on the PR and 12th on the rankings... in the new list he is 13.
I thought you meant 50% PR 50% Rankings when working out the regos, rather than the 40% PR hes talking about now.
Nah, I'm saying if you make past results just as important as current ones, it doesn't seem very fair.
Fair enough. Yeh maybe but we dont have any current ones while doing the new regos... all we have is what happened in S1 and S2.
