Right, there are 3 options for this. OPTION A: None of this happens, although it will not mean Season 2 will start alot quicker. OPTION B: A draft takes place. OPTION C: An auction takes place. The draft would simply be as the CPL Football and Cricket have been. The auction would take place as follows. - There will be 4 clubs. - You need at least 19 players. - You must have 1 player from each Seasonal Rugby "normal" club. - The budget each team would get, would be £19million. - Club owners could bid to 0.1m but not too 0.01m. - The top 10 posters will be known as "star players" and will have a set reserve price. The bidding will start at the reserve price rather than 0 for these players. - It would be announced what type of player would be drawn in the auction at a certain time. e.g Lock, Scrum Half, Fly Half, Centre, Wing. - There would be an official thread, where people can bid with the auction finishing when I say FINISH. The highest bid before this is said will win the auction. The time of the FINISH will be informed before the auction. By the way guys, I want to reitarate that Season 2 will not come alot faster whether this is here or not.
A draft with 15 players takes long enough, god knows how long the auction will take Not decided yet, with S2 not coming faster either way, my decicion is in the balance. Reasons as to why S2 wont? Working on the Sim?
Yeah, true. I suppose the point of a pre-season tournament is for it not to take long, whereas drafts/auctions would drag out. Still, I like the sound of them.
I like the sound of it if we can get through it fast - ie. get all owners on at the same time to do it in like an hour or something.
How will the auction work? Will each player have a set price? Or will each owner bid on a player? (like a house auction)
I would like it to be a draft tbh. Less complicating and can be done alot quicker and more efficient with less hassle imo.
