Despite being contrary I doubt 4k will be anything like HDtvs in sales. It's a rich mans tv and always will be. It's just far far too much to be realistic in the next 5 years. Getting 4k media to play on the tvs will be most of the problem. It'd be fucking HUGE.
So a movie in 4k will be massive in data size? Downloading a movie would be chaos if that was the case.
It's out now with Sony. Basically nothing plays 4k stuff though so it's completely for ze ego. I suspect 4k films will be USB or downloaded. That said they'll still be huge. It's kind of a massive step considering 1080p is still really only getting fully established.
There are systems that will upscale 1080p to suit 4k, but it's not the same. There is a Gin Wigmore video in 4k that they use to display 4k in Australia and New Zealand. Thats pretty much it.
Are you retarded or something? You can plug a PC into a tv ffs. And you can get PC cases that are home theatre looking in design.
Lol I was defo trolling. Set up a game on a PC a while back (some random one I had never heard of) looked amazing and played amazing. Didn't use the PS3 controller though, had difficulties in that respect. Had some other controller that did the trick. Consoles are for the exclusives really, that and the console community. Which for me (as PS3 owner) is sweet fuck all. With Steam added PC is tops minus the exclusives. All that being said though, I wouldn't stray away from a console. New Zealand's Internet data caps really aren't big enough yet to be able to go crazy on steam. I have 100mpbs Internet so speed isn't an issue but only 100gb data cap.
