Round 1: Cyclones FC vs Pacy Vallée-d’Eure Football @ BOM

Welcome all to the first game of the 2nd season SoccerSim 2.0. The first game sees last season's champions the Cyclones, hoping to make a good start to hold on to their title, go up against Pacy, who will be looking to start as they mean to go on by taking the big scalp of the reining champions early on.

Min. 6 : (pacy) A_Shizzle hits in a shot!
... It hits the defender
... E_Ames collects the loose ball!
... E_Ames attempts the shot!
... But it puts it well wide

Min. 8 : (cyclones) S_Green runs with the ball to the corner flag
... He plays the ball across to K_Fung
... D_ElMasri rushes in with a clumsy tackle!!
... That’s a foul!!
... What’s The Referee going to give?
... He just waves play on!

 

Min. 14 : (pacy) D_ElMasri reads the run of E_Ames
... Launched towards the top corner by E_Ames !
... But C_Laing palms it behind
... The Referee has given a goal kick
... Unbelievable !

Min. 19 : (pacy) A_Shizzle steps over the ball
... He nutmegs M_Dorn
... That a lovely piece of trickery
... M_Dorn does well to get the tackle in

 

Min. 23 : (pacy) A_Shizzle runs at the defender
... He gets past him!
... He sees a team mate in space

Min. 31 : (pacy) A_Shizzle heads the ball back to B_Jacobs
... But D_Boland clears the danger

Min. 33 : (pacy) A defence splitting pass from A_Shizzle to D_Alessi
... M_Deane gathers up the loose ball

Min. 36 : (pacy) D_ElMasri turns on a sixpence
... M_Deane wins the ball with a clear tackle

Min. 37 : (pacy) A_Shizzle can't keep control of it and loses possession!
... He goes in hard and wins it back!
... He creates some space for an opening!
... D_Boland had better start being careful if he continues to tackle like that

... But S_Wilson puts the ball out of play

Min. 43 : (REF) The 4th referee signals that there is 1 minute of time to be added on

Half Time Score: cyclones 1-0 pacy

So that is half time. Cyclones may have gone in 1 up but Pacy had a strong finish to that half. Pacy will be looking to keep attacking in that vain but their lack of numbers in attack seems to not be troubling the defensive Cyclone players.
