On the agenda is: - Allstars enter the BS, HC and the ALC - Asia enter the PC - Borisc trophy given rep status - Return of live simming - One day cricket to actually have proper scorecards and go on the site - Return of the Horrigan Plate (games will be auto-simmed formulaically and will take about a minute each to do, not live) Schedule of one round of everything per week will remain in tact. Hopefully the Herald can start getting weekly editions out next season with more notice. Any other ideas, not related to how much info is on the stats site and not just people telling me to scrap competitions they don't like, will be appreciated. EDIT: Oh, and don't talk about clubs folding either ffs.
Any ideas on a possible return for the Rossleigh Trophy? And any news on Club vCash? Aaaaannnnddd, OCC?
Hadn't even considered it. Possible I guess. Will be sorted out before Season 11 but it won't be a part of Season 11 contracts. Clubs will have their vCash figured out and accounts will be set up etc but they won't be able to do anything with it just yet. Yeah, happening. Wrong thread though.
It was supposed to be before this season, but I was encouraged to scrap it so we could get the BS on the road. We'd probably still be waiting for the season to start if I hadn't done that.
So are we scrapping it? I mean, the teams are quite off, if we wanted to redo it in the future maybe we could use vCash and turn it into IPL sort of thing with owners bidding but the players getting money I DONT KNOW, IM THROWIN IT OOT THAR
We scrapped it ages ago. I said I might sim it as a knockout at some stage all in one day. But I might not. It has nothing to with Season 11 though; it's a Season 10 thing.
Would be nice to have 2nd Division OD and 20/20 comps. Maybe have a rule that for the OD games 1sts must sub in 2 players a match from 2nd's. Have all current 2nd division players in each club in a rotation list to keep it fair so no one can play 2 matches til everyone plays at least 1. If this was implemented we would have a taste of the top grade and test ourselves against the best players. Maybe in the offseason we could have some in-club scratch matches like Gamblers v Punters for example. Would conjure some good discussion in the Club forums IMO. Maybe have a few of these matches to get a scope, because they could be good for selectors to have an idea of how their cattle is looking in the preseason.
Think List B cricket* would be the top addition there, and I'm not just saying that 'cause I'm a noob. Adding to the 2nd XI comps means as many active folks playing more cricket as possible. *or whatever you'd call one-day second XI business What goes on in the offseason, out of interest?
There's a massive quick-simmed offseason comp every season with 16 teams (2 evenly distributed teams from each club) which usually works out well.
Depends when I start it up. Offseason cricket is usually mainly based on contracts for the following season but I don't think contracts will be open long before I start it this time round so I might just roll with 16 again this time. Not sure yet.
Is it a pre season comp, or a post season comp though? Guess we could get our arses into gear and find 22 players... Edit: Yeah, what cribb said sounds delish.
It's an off-season comp. It falls technically between the two to give me licence to move some players based on new contracts and still put in players who haven't signed new ones yet. The 'story' is that some players back up and move into their new houses quicker than others.
