I'm after a small defender if, and all of yours are way, way too good. You're probably best of chasing a key defender with a trade or in the draft.
Cheers bud. I know I'm up in the draft, but can't check my picks at work, so it'll have to wait until I'm home (about 2-3 hours).
Interest in Tomlinson - opening up to offers. Happy to look at bundling something with other list players and my picks. Would really like to try and get another genuine goalkicker etc.
Okay, so, I've got a reasonable amount of options for key forwards but lack the type I really need (a volume goalkicker). Walker, Cloke, Reid, Lynch (GC), Dixon, Cameron, Hawkins, Roughead, Gunston, Schulz, Riewoldt, Riewoldt, Franklin, Tippett, Darling, Kennedy - those types. I know they don't come cheap, but I'm really after one. What I'm putting up - Westhoff. He's probably not the best #1 forward to have as his best work is done roaming up the field but he takes away a big defender and creates space. As a #2 guy to a volume goalkicker he's the perfect compliment. He'll still chip in with 1.5-2 goals a game but up the field he's such a bonus, he's more than just a goalkicker. Obviously if you only have one volume goalkicker I wouldn't suggest trading for someone like Westhoff but if you've got two it'd almost be worth cashing in on one for someone like Westhoff who mightn't kick as many goals but his presence would actively improve the #1 guy and actively improve the side. + he's a capable 2nd ruck. - McGovern. If you want to take the punt. He's not dissimilar to Westhoff in that he does a lot of work up the field and creates space for a #1 guy but he doesn't get as much of the ball but is probably more a 2-2.5 goal a game guy, slightly more goals and crashes packs for fun. Sample is small so he won't cost a bunch but if he continues going as he has in the last 3 weeks his price will continue to rise - Daniher. Has the advantage of being a round 20 retention which is definite value for potential/output/a playing kpf esp when you consider where blokes like Hogan/Boyd went. Can give a chop in the ruck and has absolutely huge potential and right now he's still pretty decent. - Lynch (ADEL). Calling him a KPF might be a stretch but he's probably a better option to be the #2 guy than someone like a Josh Walker if you're struggling that badly. As a third tall he's a great fit though, kicked 2 goals a game last season and racks it up up the ground and takes heaps of uncontested marks, does a lot more than just kicks goals and create space. - Henderson (CARL). Having a bit of a down year with only 14 goals in 12 games but kicked 24 in 9 games forward last season, clearly has the ability. I'm probably going to play him back because I don't have space for him down forward and I rate him as a defender but I hate seeing blokes who are capable of being big FF/CHFs in CPL play down back when they're equally as good forward as quality forwards are hard to come by - if someone could use him as a forward he's probably worth more to them than he is to me, that said I won't be selling him cheap - Hickey. Is a round 27 retention which means a huge deal IMO. I don't believe in playing two rucks so he'll be on the pine for me which given his ability is a massive waste, athletic and can take a contested grab, if someone's struggling for retention options next season he's a great bet (but because of his retention status he won't be cheap!) especially if their first ruck currently is a shit cunt Obviously if I'm getting a volume goalkicker I'd give you an upgrade in your favour to sweeten it. I don't want a mediocre shit cunt Liam Jones/Jesse White/Tom Lee type forwards though and I don't need 'great forwards' who don't kick lots of goals while I appreciate their worth. If you'd like to at least try and see what we can work out let me know. There are other options though, If you want someone like Westhoff and would be able to give an elite KPD for him (potentially upgrades/downgrades as well depending on who) (which to be fair given the rarity of quality KPFs should be of interest to anyone without two gems down there) I'm happy to listen as I might be able to ontrade that KPD for someone I'm chasing. And if all else fails I'd probably look to downgrade a Daniher/Hickey/Henderson/McGovern type to a quality small forward if anyone had a small to spare and could use a reasonable KPF. Also have a good few running backs now so if you need someone like a Laird/Docherty/RHenderson I could probably help. Edit: I am not Masters so I won't be giving up Westhoff for a mediocre KPD or a midfielder which I don't want or need. Will only entertain dealing away Westhoff (as he's probably the only >great KPF actively on the market unless you consider Liam Jones elite) for the aforementioned and Vickery etc. don't count as that. Once again...not Masters. Not gonna give Westhoff for shit cunt. Would want a better KPD as I prefer an 8/10 KPF to a 9/10 KPD etc.
