    One interesting question is how we run the Care Cup this season. Having eight teams has made it easy for ages as we just have a straight knockout but the Allstars make it difficult. We're probably have three pools of three which guarantees each team two games, but where to take it from there is the question.

    Bloody All Stars. Exclude them.

    I suppose you could do 3 pools of 3. 1st in every pool to the semis. The best 2nd place to the semis. You could even have the 2 best 2nd place teams play a match and winner of that to the semis.

    The 2nd place team would play the best 1st place team and the other 2 1sts can play.

    Although not ideal and maybe not the best way, it's the only way I can think of which is semi-fair.

    Top team from each pool go through, they then play each other in a round robin format to find seeds 1-3 for knockout

    then the 2nd place teams from ech pool playoff in a round robin format to find the 4th seeded team.

    1 v 4
    2 v 3

    Final

    Or I suppose you could have the 1st place in every pool go through. The best 1st place team straight through to the finals and then the other 2 play, winner of that through to the finals.

    Or you could have the best 1st place play the loser of that match and then the winner of that goes through to play the winner from the 2nd and 3rd best 1st place. If that makes sense.

    only problem is each team only plays 2 games in the pools....

    You'd be better off just running a straight round robin between the top placed teams from each pool to find the winner then run his idea IMO
