Haha, nah. The other competitions (Horrigan Cup, Rossleigh Trophy, Jae Taylor Challenge) are named after old CricSim players who were around back on NRLM forums when I first started it, and Corbin was one of those as well so it fits. Plus he was the driving force behind getting New Zealand more cricket on here.
The Jae Taylor Challenge is actually one game played inside the Corbin Cup between NZ and Great Britain. The game counts towards both. Like how the Bledisloe Cup is actually a Tri-Nations game as well, for example.
He's registered on this forum as Henry Marshall; he brought you over here in fact. His name is Corbin.
Haha. The game against Victoria in the Corbin Cup is actually really important for you guys. Victoria actually made the final of the PC last season.. now there's no doubt that they're still only the third best CricSim province, but they proved they could compete at that level. If you can beat them, it'll put heaps of pressure on me to admit you to the PC, particularly if you hand NZ's arses to them in a bag like you should.
I think we definately have a chance. When you look at there team they havent been on the greatest form, and matching them up 1 for 1, they beat us in spin, keeper and one or 2 batting positions. We have the rest.
Their batting lineup is ridiculously gun. A few of them aren't in the greatest form ATM but they weren't just before the PC either and they flogged the best bowlers in CricSim around the park regularly. It's pretty debatable that they have you in the spinning stocks, though. They had Bots last season but with NZ getting associate rep status he's not eligible anymore, so their best two spinners are Oz and Hunt. Smith is definitely better than Hunt and while Oz has potential, he's done very little so far.
I fogot Bots went to NZ, so I counted him. Ye their batting is awesome, but on form this season our toporder has really fired... so we really do have a chance.
