Anyone else finding that the frequency of wonder goals seems to be a lot higher in 15 than in previous versions? Also, I'm finding that using super attacking cavalier tactics doesn't work anymore Using the tactics I used in FM13 see my midfield completely and utterly overrun. Actually need to find the right balance between attack and defence.
Poor you :P I've always hated that overly attacking systems doesn't just result in the opposition scoring loads on the counter in past editions
My Northampton side are struggling massively in the Prem. First win came against Chelsea with a 1-0, goal in the 93rd minute. Have one of the best defensive records in the league but just not scoring enough goals. The one time I tried to play a slightly more expansive game I got dicked. Strikers have the best attacking attributes in the league (finishing, heading amongst others) but the worst pace and movement so I really struggle to create chances but when I do it's usually a goal. Is somewhat amusing seeing some of the statistical mismatches my current system generates where possession will be 72/28 and shots ~20/2 but the score line will be 1-1.
Got the other problem. I have no trouble putting up 3 or 4 goals but keeping the opposition to less is difficult. Had to tinker with tactics for so long to fix up how my midfielders would never go into space and stay in bunches of like 4 or 5 people in 10m.
Yeah, it's something I'm actually enjoying about this edition. Having to actually think about my tactics rather than be like "hurr durr I have better players than you and will win 8-0 no matter what tactics I use" Btw, can someone explain the difference between the roaming playmaker and the box-to-box midfielder? They both sound pretty similar to me.
I think the Box-to-Box is more of a workhorse, and certainly has more responsibility defensively. Roaming Playmaker should be more creative.
If you get alot of training injuries consider reducing your training intensity. If you get alot of in game injuries then it might be down to the fitness of your players going in. I tend to get myself a relatively big squad and heavily rotate in the areas that get tired faster (wing backs for example). Other than that it's just down to luck and injury proneness of your players
I played FM on my phone for a solid 10 months and had countless hours on it. Took Juve to a trio of CL trophies, won the season countless times. I dominated. Might start up again, only problem is that it's last season squads.
