    Whatever people say about Farny's batting, it's ****ing handy to have a bloke who is at the very least the 3rd best fastie in the game who can easily bat 8 if needed.

    Hahaha, Farny averages 17 with the bat, he is a bowler and not a bowling all-rounder. If he batted at 8 you would have a long tail.

    Yeah, he's contributed. He hasn't been consistent by any means but no-one expected him to be and his role in the team means it doesn't really matter a great deal if he isn't. What he has done is prove he can compete at this level at times and chip in - he chipped in with 61 against Queensland, scored 91 against NSW, took 4/18 in the second innings of their win against Vic and has actually chipped in with crucial top order wickets all series. I don't really think you could ask a lot more of a reserve grader just playing to fill in the numbers.. he's done a better job than a lot of players who had much better billing going into their PC careers tbh.

    And they will. If either of them had dire series in this PC it might be different, but they've both done well - in fact they've ripped through lineups at times. As far as the Test team is concerned I'd have him third in line for a pace bowling spot.. fourth if you take Tyson's batting into account.
