True Detective (spoilers)

So I read that the leads for season 2 are gonna be Taylor Kitsch, Colin Farrell, Elisabeth Moss and Vince Vaughn (the latter as the villain)

If that's true I'm not really sure what to think of it.

 

I think Vaughn could actually do an alright job as the antagonist, especially given the premise of this season.

Just not sure Farrell (even though in Bruges was gun) or the other two are really the right fit

But I'd definitely have said the same about mcconaughey so that's the joy of this

probably a terrible fit as an actress for a show like this but fuck i wouldn't miss the chance to have an excuse to watch her

 

Yeah, not too enthused by that trailer. Can't help but feel like the casting is wrong despite not having actually seen the show. Doesn't seem like it could have that grunge feel to it like season one's actors did

 

Could not have put it better. Probably one of the best settings in any show or film I've watched in my short time.

 

I'm a massive McAdams fan in certain genres but I just don't think this kind of 'mood' piece of a TV show is her style. She seemed a little forced/fake in that clip. Vaughn too I was looking forward to - gets a lot of flak but reckon he'd be solid as that psychopathic villain - but he didn't look flash. Echo aforementioned thoughts regarding the setting, not too impressed.

Not high hopes here.
