You've got two truly international quality batsman but outside of Punter and Pietersen, you have two blokes with about 15 fc games between them and three retirees (I'm including Symonds because he basically is now - only plays for 6 wks a yr) And then there isn't even one outstanding bowler. Warne will take you wickets but he's going to be a shadow of his former self.

Ged thinks averaging 25 in Australian first class isn't any good. Playing test cricket for someone like Pakistan and averaging 40 is way better.

Yeah that's probably better, as Gilly, Hayden, KP, Punter, Symmo, Noffke, Harmison and Warney would all be very good players in this.
It's not just a form slump that he's in - he's past it imo. KP's in a form slump as well, and the rest of your batsmen are either rookies or retirees.
