I think he was re-signed like 10 games into his career back in 2010. I'm not sure how long for, but he's definitely in the top 3 players we have to try to keep.

 

Thaiday, Gillett and Hoffman. Parker and Hodges would probably be 4th and 5th, but they are 30, and I think they mighyt retire before they are off contract.

 

He's one of those players I couldn't and wouldn't want to see playing for another side. He can sometimes try to do too much, like Hodges, but when he isn't he's one of our best players.

 

He's got to get over the idea of being a ball player.

 

To what I've seen Sam seems to think he's Matty Bowen/Benji Marshall some times, does some real dancing then throws the cut out.


TBF I think the coaches are partly to blame, the see a big strong forward with decent ball skills and think it'll be a good surprise tactic. Whilst there's nothing wrong with getting forwards to run in pairs and simple things, using them as ball playing options is generally a bad idea imo, gives them too much to think about and the other parts of their game can suffer.

It'd be like going out and telling your halfback to do his job, but relieve the pressure off the forwards by taking 10 hit ups.
