    November 1

2014 NRL Season contracts have officially kicked in and all players in the remaining 12 months of their contract can now be approached by any club.

Every cunt to do a write up about their team IMO. http://www.zerotackle.com/nrl/rugby-league/players/off-contract-2014/

    Roosters off cotnract

Tinirau Arona - Meh, probably wont be re-signed. Good for depth but just doesn't have they physical presence to ever force his way into a starting 17.

Kane Evans - MUST Re-sign. Gun young player, deserves a go on the bench this year. Will be shattered if he leaves but there'll be heaps of interest no doubt.

Samisoni Langi - MUST Re-sign. Pretty confident we will, the club will never say it publicly but he'll be moved to the second row next year and groomed as the right edge replacement for SBW.

Sam Moa - Would love to re-sign him but depends how much he'll cost. Not a big fan of having heaps of money tied up in the front row.

Michael Oldfield - Really good for depth if we can manage to hold onto him but I suspect he'll look elsewhere for First Grade opportunities.

    SBW - No chane

Tau Tau Moga - Still rate him really highly but all the rumours coming out of the Roosters are that we'll struggle to match an offer for Brisbane. I think it'll come down to whether SKD is still at the club in 2015 or not.

    Eels off contract

Daniel Harrison - he's on way too much money at the moment given he's in his prime and is supposed to cover a position Parramatta struggled in all season and still can't crack first grade. Was a highly rated junior but meh.

Luke Kelly - make or break next year. Should get the starting halfback role and be backed for the first quarter of the season at the very least, and sink or swim. Contract negotiations will come off the back of that but I'd be in no way surprised if Sandow was preferred to him at the start of the season again and he moved to England in 2015 without getting another proper crack.

Tim Mannah - one of the only clearly first grade standard players at the club. Priority re-signing.

Fuifui Moimoi - unlikely to be re-signed, reckon he'll retire. Still goes hard but I wouldn't be surprised if he wound things up even before his contract ended.

Joseph Paulo - still really unsure of how to utilise this player. Parramatta really lack class all across the field and he's got it coming out his ears but he doesn't really fit in the halves, or at lock, or in the second row at first grade level. A weird one. I definitely get the feeling he'll find his feet in first grade somewhere eventually and be a real key player one day but I'm not sure it'll be at the Eels.

Api Pewhairangi - doesn't have the class to play five-eighth, doesn't have the physical presence or athleticism to play centre. Don't think he'll ever be a regular first grader so I wouldn't bother personally but he's only 21 so he might be worth a low-end deal as a project player.

Matthew Ryan - similar to Daniel Harrison although he's not on big dough. Runs out in the centres even when he's selected in the front row; specialist second rower in my eyes and not a very good one. Wouldn't be the worst re-signing ever if no-one else could be attracted to the club but they should be looking for better.

Ken Sio - probably the only good thing Stephen Kearney did for the club. Must re-sign.

    Ben Smith - release ASAP.

Joseph Ualesi - actually really like him from what I've seen and he racks up monster yardage in the Holden Cup at times. Surprised he didn't get more of a go in first grade this year, should re-sign.

Brayden Wiliame - not anywhere near ready for first grade but is only 20 so I could go either way on this one.

And yeah I did this just to play up on the Parramatta supporter joke.

Moved it into a new thread. Our player movements thread is fucking huge for a subforum with so few threads created.

  4. Alec AD Funkotron

Jake Granville - I can't see him being very expensive. Will depend on how he goes this year, if Griffin plays him off the bench.
David Hala - Meh again. He is a very strong runner but seems to lack fitness and is very injury prone.
Ben Hannant - Apparently the highest paid player at the club at 400-450K I believe? He's a pretty good front rower, I'd keep him, unless he demands an increase... purely because we lack quality front rowers..
Justin Hodges - He can stay as long as he wants. Doesn't play many games, but is extremely valuable, and apparently was even the one who convinced Barba to join.
Stewart Mills - We'll see how he goes. I can't see him making our full strength back line though.
Corey Parker - He can stays as long as he wants. Our best player along with Hodges (and probably Barba now).
David Stagg - Good depth, I'd keep him, but I think he'll retire.

  5. SM MD Dorn

Like Bailey - likely retire. Have a good team built up in the forwards. Sign as a coach IMO

Dave Taylor - See if he's interested this year. I suspect he's on way too much coin

Mark Minichiello - Can't see room for him :(

Ryan James - Key signing. Take him before Mini and Taylor

Matt Srama - 80 minute NRL hooker. Sign ASAP

Kevin Gordon - I'll be fucking Devo if he goes and we still have Michaels on our books

    Rankin Dowling Likiliki - gone

  6. Hunter AD Hunt

    Panthers off contract

Sam Anderson - Shown potential. Should be able to re-sign on a small contract and let him further develop.
Luke Capewell - Was only really signed as cover for last year. With Soward and Wal coming there's no real need for him.
Anthony Cherrington - Has showed promise since coming over from the Chooks after the string of injuries. With the excess of backrowers we have he probably won't ever get a look though. Might as well palm him off to give him a better chance.
    Ethan Cook - NFI
    Tom Humble - See Capewell
Kevin Kingston - Should re-sign him. Still has the goods and is a decent leader. Will likely see him go because cunts want Segeyaro starting.
Jeremy Latimore - With the constant signing of forwards he's been left behind. Adios.
Josh Mansour - Very promising ball runner but that's about it. Like the forwards with the backs we've signed he could see himself relegated to reserve grade for the season. He'll look elsewhere.
Eto Nabuli - Very promising. 20+ tries for your first year in NSW cup isn't too shabby. Still has obvious deficiencies in his game, including Vatuvei syndrome. When he manages to hold onto the ball he's damaging. Re-sign and let him further develop in reggies.
Wes Naiqama - Time has well and truly past him. Goodbye Wes.
    Kyle O'Donnell - See Anderson
Matt Robinson - Has been promising in the games he has played. Again with the backrow signings he could be excess to requirements. Like Mansour if he doesn't get a gig in firsts he could be snapped up elsewhere pretty quick.
Nathan Smith - Re-sign ASAP. GOAT.
Vaipuna Tia Kilifi - Was a gun in the '20s in 2012. Drifted a bit last year between squads without making much of an impact. Re-sign him based on his 20s promise and hope he kicks on.
Dean Whare - Was arse at FB. Has found a home at centre. Definite re-sign.

  7. morgieb MC Burridge

Mitchell Buckett - don't really know much about him. Could be handy depth, I suppose.
Beau Champion - meh, won't cost too much I guess. Don't really remember how he's gone.
Jason Clark - fills a useful need. Probably won't ask for too much money so keep.
Jeff Lima - if we can keep him, do it.
    Ben Lowe - see Clark.
Nathan Merritt - depends on what he's asking. Overall, he's our best non-Inglis back so he's worth keeping.

  8. Julian BJ Taylor

pretty sure Ben Lowe is at the warriors morgie.

  9. Julian BJ Taylor

Matt allwood - specialist reserve grader it seems. hasn't debuted while tupou, sauluima and co have. can be left behind.

Shaun Fensom - must re-sign. absolutely vital, I'm not that worried.

jake foster - useless, release ASAP.

tll - all depends on this year. he's a good player but he spends too much time on the sidelines. canberra need to turn over their front row rotation quick smart.

Sam mataora - unfit and lazy to begin with. see you later unless something drastic happens.

josh mccrone - 2014 will be pivotal in his career. you wouldn't think there'd be too many clubs after him and I reckon (if it doesn't bruise his ego too much) he's the perfect bloke to have as a bench dummy half/utility.

    Milford - bitch

Jordan rapana - on a reserve grade contract, won't know until after this season.

Reece Robinson - shows moments of brilliance but just isn't hardened enough. I reckon the club have decided he's not a first grade fullback which doesn't look good for him getting another contract.

Dane tilse - gone. need new blood up front.

    Brett white - as above

    jack wighton - must re-sign

  10. Sultan Pepper HG Emm

I reckon we might see Mansour in the forwards off the bench at some point this season.

  11. Cribbage RG Cribb

This would be a distinct possibility if you didn't already have 1,000 second rowers on the books.

  12. morgieb MC Burridge

Oh OK, Zero Tackle isn't working for me, so I used an older version.

  13. Sultan Pepper HG Emm

I reckon Cleary will put him there when one of Segeyaro/Kingston is injured.

  14. Cribbage RG Cribb

He'll just use Peachey in the Kingston quasi lock-hooker-half role if that happens IMO.

  15. Hunter AD Hunt

Fuck you Tyrone. You're not a lock!

  16. Colesy BL Hornby

We don't really have anyone i'd care about leaving. Maybe de belin
