You make a fine point, sir.

Yeah putting Mariner at centre never seemed like a good idea to me.

Looks like Penrith are going to win it again. Roosters aren't good enough, and having two tiny halves in defence is too much of a liability.

We have Storm v Panthers in a few weeks to give us an idea who'll probably win it.

It's so obvious how poorly coached Brisbane are by how clunky and confused their attack is. You have to wonder what they do at training.. Carrigan passing out back to Walsh, Reynolds practicing his kicking, the rest just do fitness training I guess.

Lack of creativity is a problem across the board in the NRL IMO. Bring even a mid-tier side from the 90s or early 2000s into the current comp with modern fitness and conditioning standards, and they'd make these sides looks silly.I reckon. They'd at least be more entertaining.

You're correct that it's particularly evident with the Broncos however. They have the devil's triangle of weak character, lack of experience, and injuries to thier better players.

    Melbourne Storm @ 3.85 tonight…

Anyone give them a chance with that team list?

    Nah.

Anyone else rate Garrick? He never gets talked about but he's alright imo. Reminds me of the main actor from the show Upload.

I rate him as a winger more than a centre tbh, though I get why Manly play him there.

Awesome NRL level player, as he's reliable and kicks goals. Though he doesn't stand out in any particular area to any degree where he'd crack the Blues side. He'd probably have played an Origin or 2 by now if he was a Queenslander though.

Great supercoach/fantasy player, and he's quite handsome, it has to be said.

    Nah. Would fuck though.

Well I've definitely taken notice of him this season, he's had his best year yet, made several clean breaks that most other centres wouldn't manage. Helps when you have DCE servicing you.

Trent Barrett is going to be head coach of the Broncos after origin next year, and that's depressing.

    At least Kevie is likeable.

    He is?

Surprised Sharks are outsiders tomorrow, unless they're resting some players. I get the feeling they won't and will take it seriously.

Sportsbet offering $4.92 for the Sharks, had to have a sneaky bet.

One of only two sides to beat the Storm at home this year.

Warbrick to score + Melb win was the bet mate. Next game: Holmes score, over 44.5, cows win - $5

How did Gee not get a gig this weekend? Instead we get Klein giving Penny the golden whistle as usual...

Both the Rooters and Sharks are great odds this week imo, can't see them losing. Then panthers/storm are basically guaranteed bets next week too. Penrith are still decent odds to win the premiership, Melbourne have too many defensive issues.
