!!!!! I use ipod earphones, but am keen to get some basic headphones. Just anything that covers my ears and doesn't sound absolutely terrible and retarded.
http://www.head-fi.org is probably the best. I've already recommended 2 sets of low to mid tier IEMs: the RE-262 and the Meelec A161p for a more neutral sound. I haven't used them before but apparently the Fischer Audio DBA-02 are one of the most highly rated neutral IEMs out there. Mid-tier price but top tier sound quality.
LOL no. I haven't heard great things bout beats. I have these - http://audio-technica.com.au/products/pro-audio/m50/ THEY ARE FUCKING MINDBLOWING.
Of course. I do so very rarely. They are for listening to music in the best way possible at home. For serious listener's mostly (aint that just a wank of a statement)
That's the thing, at home I'd be playing through speakers, I only see them as something you'd use traveling.
There is a huge difference. Those headphones I have sound insane. Heaps, heaps, heaps better than your average speakers.
hmmm depends as a general rule, closed cans sound better @rabbit boy. i want one of those unfortunately my budget meant i could "only" get the ws55 (which i have to add i'm v v happy with)
Beats piss me off. 90% of the people that own them listen either through their iPod or laptop audio jack rather than a decent stereo. It's pathetic. I also frequently see douchebags walking around town with a pair around their neck as if they think owning a pair makes them awesome. My Sennheiser HD-555's are far better quality headphones, and at a cheaper price.
All you gay cunts just linked be to earphones, as opposed to headphones. Dre ones look the best so far.
http://www.head-fi.org/products/shure-srh840 Got these last year for $250 from Allans Billy Hyde. Deadset best natural sound (not too much bass, treble or highs) I've ever heard. Nothing beats them except maybe higher end Shure products.
