Still got a bit of developing to do as a half before he's origin worthy. Also think Farah must play out the 80 every game this series, so not sure how I'd work him in as a utility.
Injury cover. He showed he's solid at dummy half last season and Farah's derp moments occur when he's under fatigue I'd like to think 10 mins off field with Austin to use his running game from the play the ball would be handy. The fact he can cover pretty well any where except middle third forward at a pinch is important.
Farah's not playing 80 for us, so Austin as bench utility is a must as minimum. Sigh, Tigers keep him this year and we're a lock for the 8.
asking a guy who isn't running out a full game for his club side to do so in a much tougher game environment will not end well
I'm stoked he's playing for Canberra. I think he's a boss and he definitely needs to be used as a #6 at NRL level unless he's playing for an absolute top tier team (which would be a waste). But his ball playing a decision making under pressure isn't ready for him to play in the halves in Origin IMO. But then again neither was Josh Reynolds. Taylormade for the bench utility role though. Brilliant ball runner, adequate dummy half from what I've seen, good defender and generally just a tough player for his size.
Highlights to 90% of this year's Raiders games are Austin highlight reels. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/93fIvMBrrV4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Yeah, he's a real mongrel. Reminds me heaps of Berrigan back when he debuted as a half. Just needs a haircut, that shit is terrible.
Gemmell on the money. Nothing wrong with the do, but goatees like that make you look like you've got a sawn off shotgun and a balaclava in your training bag.
