Only possible benefit is if some gun is left unbid on and you've got the most cap/only person who needs that position so you can scoop them up.
It's nearly as bad as your over-inflated opinion of SBW. So were you pleasantly or unpleasantly surprised?
I was impressed with the quality of your bids given you've never done anything like this before (to my knowledge) but I was a bit sad that I wasn't going to be able to bait you about Manly being over the cap.
Yeah this has been a first for me. I went through every side & wrote down players that I would want, then culled that list down to 25 & then went by guesstimating their worth. Also, I figured a couple of my players are a definite exclusion from anyone's 25. 1 player in particular. As for not being able to bait me about Manly being over the cap, it would've been futile. They couldn't even afford to keep David Gower.
Nah. They will be when we have the proper draft, but not for this testing comp. I actually meant to add "professional rugby union" to the clause about past-NRL players who had played in other comps this year but I only realised I hadn't once heaps of people had already bid, and it would've been unfair to add it in then.
Very raw player but shows alot of promise. Seen him play a few times and has scored 36 tries in 50 appearances.
Damn, I was actually excited about coming home and checking the results of my bid lol. I actually based some of my bids on the fact that they'll be less than 20 teams haha.
Gemmell gets back from holidays on Wednesday. If we get 20 before he sends a PM then he misses out, but if we don't then we start as soon as he PMs. Feel free to adjust your bids based on that info if you like. We've got 16 now, plus at least one more if we do have to wait until Wednesday; I think we'll probably get 20.
