Medium pacers are swing bowlers. So we shouldn't have weather to protect some shitty ALC players? Nice input.
Nuh penalties are part of the laws of League, weather isn't in the rules of cricket. It can be added in and taken out with out actually effecting the way the game is played. I personally don't think we see enough draws but I'd suggest shortening the games to four days, like standard FC cricket, rather than adding in the weather.
None of that will change though!, like i said all that enabling weather does is allow the game to have lost time for Bad Light and Rain. That is all that is affected.
Well, I'm not sure if it's possible. But Nino says all it does is effect time. Forget the swing bowlers argument then I suppose.
Weather shouldn't really come into play at the selection table. Four days would be stupid. This all depends on how far Cribb wants to take the sim. Bad light could be cancelled out by some teams having lights and some not. That would also mean club money coming into it. Say you get some money from making the top 4 and more money for winning it. That is just a simple way to look at what could be a huge revamp.
I don't bowl medium pace so I couldn't give a rat's furry ass. Someone to answer my question about if there's a forecast for CoS's? Would also then need that to be distributed to both CoS's before the games, which would be even more complicated.
Don't mind the idea to be honest. Mousey has made some good points. Agreed with everything e has said so far
Weather is already a factor in it like there is Overcast days etc etc but not really sure if it affects that much of the play. I'm just going by my knowledge of the Sim, Cribb to correct me if im wrong.
No need to be so pedantic. It's a simulator, as weather actually is written in the rules in this instance. Penalties and decisions on penalties are the same as weather for this argument. They're both out both teams control and they both effect the way the game is played.
Yeah, it should. Cloud = more swing, therefore you bring your best Swing Bowler in if he's not already made the side.
If he's your best swing bowler you should be playing him anyway tbh. I think that's what Boobs is saying.
So you would bring in a bowler who wouldn't be in the team normally just because the forecast is saying cloudy? Then when the weather clears up you look like a tool.
