Melbourne Storms future

With them already having run at a loss, Newslimited pulling out with talk of the independent commission and now thismajor cap breach, how long is it before we see the Melbourne Storm gone from the competition? Surely there'll be outrage from their members, crowds will be way way down, financially they have to die.


So how long? Is next season too soon? There's no feasible way they can come back from this.

 

Hahahhaa, how? There fan base will take a massive hit, membership will be way down next year, gate takings will be down, sponsors will pull out and the fact they were already running at a loss doesn't help.


Add to that the amount of cuts they'll have to make to get to where they have to be financially next year, which will see a huuuuge performance drop, meaning even less fake bandwagon fans and you have a club with nothing left. They'll have to declare bankruptcy within 5 years if they stay that long. I don't think they'll even be able to relocate, I don't think any area would want the stigma that this brings.

They should be taken out of the comp for the year imo, ashame it's impossible though.

 

Well they've had the most dominant side over the last 5 years, laden with superstars, premierships coming here there and everywhere and they still couldn't get to a point where they were financially viable. They've been looking for someone to privatise them for goodness sake. No one can see that as a good investment.
