    A new team is unlikely to happen anytime soon. At least for next season anyway. While there is a full teams worth in reggies, a shitload of them are inactive.

    Half the players in the reserves aren't all that active though.

    Giving each clubs a reserves >> adding a new side IMO

    But if we are trying to encourage more of the kids from GB to come sign up and be active you are going to have even more in reggies, and truthfully being In reggies doesn't promote activity at all, Unless you can see a really good chance of moving Into first Grade.

    Yeah I would say if people think they can represent GB then they will sign up for this. Would be gun to have a GB side next season, even if its just a series vs NZ.

    Well look at it this way - there are 5 teams now, so that's 85 spots. As it stands, the 85th highest poster has 80 posts. So it wouldn't take too long to break into the first grade worthy activity, particularly given games aren't simmed that often. It'd be a lot quicker than say, CricSim, and as Benny said the aim should be for each team to eventually have a standalone second team to play in a seconds comp anyway.

    My aim for now is to have 2 complete reggies teams to play each other week in week out. That is something that will be achieved before another team is going to be considered. However, the fact that there is a bye dents that proposal because every round there are people coming in and out and positions get harder and harder to fill. Especially considering like for example the Hawks had about 8 reserves while the Clones had about 3 or 4. Unfortunately with the 5 teams though, there is no choice. Or is there?

    Make players from the team that has the bye eligible for reggies if they've played more reggies than firsts (or possibly the same amount, except in Round 1 :p) in the season. That should give you some continuity with it.

    That's 17 of them, but there's some completely inactive/uninterested players in that lot, and I reckon the team would be unbalanced too.

    Yeah, I put him on the bench as the utility because he can play lock + backs though. Harding can only play in the backs so he couldn't really play #17 as well.

    I think an extended firsts comp will still promote activity much more, perhaps next season it might be a bit much of an ask, but after that I would say it would be much better to avoid a bye and to encourage activity by extending the firsts compitition.
