So, we have 7 players, and that's with Izett, Hurricane, Heads, Furball, GIMH and Bochat all still waiting in the wings. I'm sure chasing them up wouldn't be too hard BUT I don't really mind which of the Budgies completes the 8-man roster Some other teams are struggling to pick up their numbers. So I'm thinking perhaps we hold off for a little while and see if these guys get a chance to play first grade elsewhere if it's offered? Don't really want to stand here collecting reserves if it looks like "allocated" players could start the season in first grade.
I will just be honest. I am more than happy to play out the season in the 2nds. I did get an offer for a 1st team spot in another club a long time ago but I don't post often so I feared I would let them down. 2nds is fine with me if there is room. Cheers.
Well if the season started tomorrow I would put you on the bench in firsts (i.e. not playing reserves) and it's questionable whether there will be a reserve grade this season. So feel free to sign wherever you want mate, including for us

I don't think he'll have to do anything, but it makes sense to let players to go to clubs where there's a lot more space if they want.
I doubt ill get any offers from other teams..... for instance im not gonna go looking for another team.....unless I absolutely had to.
On to the new season then boys Our preseason results boys and girls. I reckon there's three things we can take from this 1) Hurricane has made a pretty good fist of starting in the second game, and has shown some ball hadling skills to take the pressure off our PGs. While keeping his minutes up it might do Cock some good to come off the bench, working against other bench defenders until he gets some form back. 2) The tactics in the first game - known as the "eggs in one basket" approach - seems to work. Downes loves walking over mismatches at the 3 and it still leaves Chewie and me to watch the post. I reckon our round 1 lineup is 1 Yates (24) 2 Hurrciane (28) 3 Downes (40) 4 Howe (36) 5 Chewie (36) 6 Cock (24) 7 Dong (24) 8 Morris (28)
