-$5 on where's the gold, -$5 on choy sun, still 5 minutes until the courto was leaving, so $5 dollars in 100 Lions, won +$21 then whittled it down to $15


Net position: still +$20, but an adventurous way to stay there.

Tough day at the office yesterday so I wondered over to the golfy for a schooner after work, whilst drinking it I ran a quick $5 through where's the gold, no luck, then another $5 through gone fishin'. Again no luck.


Net position:
+$10

*Should be noted that the schooner I had was 'free' because of the points I've accrued on my membership card, is up around the $10 mark which was a nice little extra.

 

Burnt another $5 on Friday night, then was up and down on Saturday after footy, won $15, then won another $7, proceeded to burn $12 and left.

Meaning I netted a cool $5 profit over the weekend

Last Thursday Scheduele:

1700 hours: look at clock and think shit, I've still got another 20 minutes of work to do

1722: Finished days work and thought 'what a day, bit more action than usual, god I could go for a beer, what's the time? Ahh 17:22, 22mins over time, mrs isn't home until 6, I guess I've earnt a quick schooner before dinner.'

1725: Finish locking up office and take a quick piss in staff toilet, think to self 'I better remember to clean this tomorrow looking a little average', zip up and head for the Golf Club

1727: Arrive at golf club, say hello to Vicki on the front desk and ask if her son is still playing footy, turns out he was playing in sydney but then decided to come back to our local side for the back half of the season. I then proceed explain that I'm just popping in for a quick beer and enjoying a year off league.

1730: With beer purchased and the local news beginning on the big screen I think 'hmm this is a little boring, might go run a couple of bucks through the slot machines before I take off

1732: Put $5 in where's the gold in the smoking area

1734: 50c hits for no wins see's me burn my 5'er pretty quickly, still armed with over half a schooner I decide to venture inside and try my luck elsewhere

1735: Sit down at 'Let's go fishin' Put $5 in, am initially pleased by the lack of smokers around me now that I'm inside, although there is not as much atmosphere.

1746: A combination a 25c and 50c hits coupled with some small wins sees the money last a little longer, sadly though there's not much to write home about as far as big wins are concerned. With the beer now finished it seems home is the best option.

1747: Stopped quickly by Vicki who reminds me the rugby league teams '100 club' is coming up and asks if I'll be in attendance, to which I am unsure.

1752: Arrive home, $10 poorer but richer for the experience.


As you can see colesy, there is plenty more to the story than simply 'putting in ten bucks and leaving the pub' (technically it's a club too but I'll let that slide).

 

That Thursday was a one off, if you would like I can go back through the thread and go into greater specifics. I'm generally at a local 'watering hole' with friends and/or the mrs for one of the following reasons:

*Beers and Preso after AFL
*Beers and watching the footy
*Beers and Dinner
*Beers with the old man when he's down

From there the pokies are often incorporated into the evenings activities. Generally speaking though my first aim when being at a pub/club is to have a beer and catch up with family or friends.

 

Got a bit carried away last night and ran through $11 all up, put $1 in 100 lions and got up to $33 but just didn't walk away. The proceded to try a $1 machine 'dollar bear' and got ripped big time before losing another $4
