This is true, I just wondered over to the club from work to see one of me mates and have a beer, saw that the big race was coming up, read the form guide quickly and saw that from 4 starts on heavy tracks it'd won 2 and had 2 seconds. Pretty obvious bet, especially when I saw it was trained by Waterhouse and she'd never won the caulfield before.
Pity all Brown does is sit on top pf the thing that's actually running. Zipping's a great bet at this point.

Put 4 bets on: Got on Zipping mid week @ $18, think I had 20 on the nose. With some of the horses in the field, the pace may be decent, which plays into Zipping's hand. If it's a decent pace I can see it coming home past Shoot Out or So You Think it goes early. Checked out the odds again this morning and put $5 on Whobe at I think it was $15 fixed as I reckon it's the forgotten horse. If the pace isn't too fast and it's thereabouts it's a decent chance. Definitely reckon they're decent punts at the fixed odds. Then I've had $10 each on Jessicabeel and Rock Kingdom to win their races. Hoping Jessicabeel is actually as fit as they say it is after being scratched last week.
Gun that the Cox Plate is at around 20 to 6. Hopefully our cricket is finished and we're at the pub by that point.
Had three winners all day. Had 20 on the nose of Precedence and Rekindled Interest, and had something else each way that got a place. Cost me $60 worth of bets, came out in front i think.
