    I'd still go to a U2 show if I was given tickets though honestly, definitely look like a band who can actually entertain a stadium.

    I was being cheeky. As I said previously, I like most of their stuff from the 80s, but in my view they disappeared up their own backside somewhere around 1991.

    Ive never met anyone who likes them tbh (dont run in a crowd thats into it i suppose). Its hard to deny how far backwards they have gone in terms of a fanbase. Sad.

    Lul. I couldnt care less if you dig em buddy. If people are into music, whatever music, then its only a good thing.

    Regardless, i have a strong dislike for U2 (not as intense as my hatred for muse) but thats my concern.

    My annoyance here is moreso with people saying band x is better than band y, proceeding to insult a person based on what they like (ie. that dude who seemed to assume my list being as it is makes me subscribe to a certain stupid view he has)

    I have also never seen such a conversation about U2... They just arnt relevent anymore.

    We have one recording up. Gonna be recording in 2 weeks pre NZ tour though. I may post a link after that. My old rubbish band got bashed pretty hard last time though so i like keeping such things to the pumas subforum where i know the people arnt knobs.

    never been so good at critiscim. But yea i might. Depends how happy i am with them really. They are just demos so we can sell em and make a couple of extra dollars in NZ.

    I organised it all. Im good at that, hunted down bands first, organised dates with them and then i contacted venues. Six shows all up, including one small festival called Camp A Low Hum. So much fucking hype!


    Yea dude! We are playing 3 shows there. On the 9th with our melbourne buddies 'Scotdrakula' at mighty mighty. The 15th at San Fransisco Bathhouse with 5 others bands and free entry and then the 17th at meow with 3 Wellington based bands.

    Mighty mighty's a decent bar with a pretty small stage on it. Get all the leftfield types in there. Interesting place. San Fran Bathhouse is the proper lower-end gig venue in Wellington. Seen plenty of bands there. Might pop along depending if I've got anything else going. What's your band called? And will I be the oldest in there by 15-odd years if I go along? That's an important question.

    Dunno how anyone can hate Muse tbh. Them and Coldplay are the two best modern day bands in the world. They have raised the bar in terms of musicianship. They shit all over bands like U2 now. I rate them up there with great bands like The Who now. They play their instruments better than other bands, write great songs, introduce more detail and experiment with different instruments and sounds in their studio work and put on awesome live shows. Dunno what more you want from a band tbh
