Yeah awta. I'd always pictured the final moment of the show being Ted say hi to the mother. Yeah which is why I think it sucks a bit more. Characters change and develop over 9 years so sometimes the original ending isn't the best one
Man, I can't wait to see the final episode. Gonna re-watch it all on the school holidays starting next week with my sister from season 1 up until the last episode.
Yeah fair enough. Just looking at season 6 there were some really decent episodes there, maybe not hilarious television, but Last Words and the episode where Barney meets his father were really well done.
Enough with the white text. This isn't the TV show thread, anyone who opens this thread should be expecting spoilers.
I was expecting to be, when I read the posts that didn't give anything away I thought that she may have died
There's some really nice pieces of general life advice throughout the show, or at least I think there is. “You can't cling to the past, because no matter how tightly you hold on, it's already gone" "“Because sometimes, even if you know how something's gonna end, that doesn't mean you can't enjoy the ride." Are two particularly favourites of mine.
That ending annoys the shit out of me. Through most of the entire series I thought Robin and Ted should end up together and I was set that nothing would change my mind. When the actual mother was introduced I felt a bit let down with the choice but eventually she grew on me. I only just in the last few episodes finally let go of the idea that Robin and Ted should end up together and really did think the mother should be the one Ted ends up with and straight away they kill off the mother and he ends up with Robin >_>
