yeah was a pretty shit ending even though every man and his dog seemed to predict it at some point (probably why it was so shit)
The ending really did surprise me tbh. The thing I'm pissed about is that they FINALLY convinced me he should be with Tracy. Then an episode later they killed her >_>
That line at the end of that episode where Lily and Marshall make bets on the lives of the rest of the group and Marshall says something like he's "not giving up yet" on Ted and Robin being together makes sense now. Always stuck with me for some reason.
I do enjoy this show. I think it's one of the best sit coms in recent years (best popular sit com anyway) but I can't undersrtand how you could watching something like this from start to finish. For me it's the perfect mindless watch while eating dinner tv.
Nah there's massive story lines in this, so many intricate details, that you just have no idea about if you're not watching in order. More so than most other shows IMO
I have never watched HIMYM. But lol @ the fact that the story was a carbon copy of a Bollywood movie. http://meghantravelsturkey.tumblr.c...-himym-finale-was-basically-a-bollywood-movie

By the way, am I the only one still wondering about the pineapple mystery? Disappointed that wasn't resolved.
Just watched the finale. Went in knowing it was going to be shit... so was actually pleasantly surprised. I wish they didnt break Robin and Barney up like they did (I know they needed to) and it felt really rushed. But there were some excellent scenes in it and I laughed all the way through. Barney with the baby and the umbrella were excellent, and the death scene hit me from nowhere. But I kinda wanted Robin and Ted together from the start. I think if the mother hadnt been written and acted so perfect for Ted then the fans would have liked it alot more. But then maybe she comes across that way because at the end of the day its narrated by Ted to the children so of course hes going to portray her in that way
So I finally watched the whole thing through. I hated the ending, hated it. My brother thought it was okay, but after a season of build up to have to essentially all reversed and have no meaning really annoyed me. Also I think The Mother was absolutely awesome, except she had a horrible name. Hated that Robin and Barney didn't stay together and that Barney, after two seasons of changing and becoming a better person, reverts almost straight away to his old self. It just made me feel like Season 9 was a cash grab. I watched it in two sittings, so the pacing and stuff didn't annoy me, I thought it was a cool concept, but after the ending the whole season now just annoys me.
