Is form going to play a part in this as well btw?¿¿

  2. Eds E Ames

    Ummm....Doubt it.

  3. Andato BJT Manera

RD deserves the credit. I just converted his idea to points.

But it allows captains to either negate the effects of lack of reserves in particular positions or to reward active members.

Or to keep track of the performances of key personnel and decide whether or not they can afford to play with lower attributes as opposed to less skilled players etc.

  5. Bender BG Herd

Deffo the designate 1 player as a 'playmaker' or important team member and that team member is immune or gets less fatigue thing too imo :p

Maybe you could have a "Physio" or something to get more energy back for certain players. Like in ICC, you could have 2 Physio Sessions per week and the HC/President would choose who needs them the most.

Haven't read the thread but I don't like the idea.
This year the Spartans had 3 subs for the most part. That means I can afford to rest 3 players a round, however, those 3 subs only play in 3 positions meaning I have no back ups in 12 positions. I know it isn't quite like that because some positions have 2 players. It just forces you to play weaker players.
Also I'm the only number 8 at the Spartans so if and when I need a rest I'm going to have to play several players out of position.

Dire half baked idea atm. Needs more work before it can be considered seriously.

But the thing is, you would need to work out rotation, instead of playing the same team every week.

Flankers can easily play at 8, scrummies can easily play at 10, centres can easily play at wing. And vice versa to all of them.

  9. Baxter MJ Deane

Nah, doesn't happen like that in real life.
Shouldn't happen like that on here.
Making it less like real life makes the sim poorer.

  10. Eds E Ames

So you don't think energy is a factor in real life rugby union?

  11. Baxter MJ Deane

I don't think players are forced to miss games because they're dead.

  12. Tartmaster AJ James

I don't think players like Giteau or Mortlock would be taken out of the Aussie team because they played 4 matches in a row.

  13. Notsure SM Green

If Giteau or Mortlock played four games in a row they would still be picked but may not play as well as if they were fresh.

  14. Jabba HJ Bots

It all depends on how close together the games are tbh. I know from experience if you play one game a day for 5 days you are ****ed by the end of it.

  15. Farny AP Farnsworth

Presumably this won't affect me, on account of my extraordinary physical conditioning, yeah?

  16. Old Mate M Perry

Same, I'm the Cameron Smith of RUSim, plenty of fuel in the tank.

  17. chris473 CJ Devonshire

Well I reckon 100 and losing 15 is fine for every game. But it also should be made that once a player goes below a certain energy level he can't play.

Yh, not really liking this atm. The Cheetahs have only got barely a handfull of subs so this will be tough.

I don't think he actually said that. I think he meant that in real life they have enough players to cover each position. Here we don't and then playing everyone out of position just makes things worse.I.E you might be playing the best team in the league and you have to field a scrummie or fly half or something at Full back. Or have a Flanker in prop or something like that. I don't recall fatigue forcing teams in the world cup to rotate frequently.

Makes it slightly better but 8 is a very small amount. You should give it to them depending on the squad size.
