I'm really disappointed with how Grant has played this series. He's the best 9 in the world at full ability and he's been very sub-par, to the point where taking Hunt off hasnt been worth it except to refresh him before his second stint.

Harry needs to stand the fuck up on Wednesday night. He's way better than what we've seen this series.

 

Capewell was actually quite good for us starting on an edge in 2022. Hopefully he finds that form because he's a long, longgg way from it these days.

 

With Ponga on the bench I wouldnt bother with Mahoney either. KP shovels the first three tackles. Hunt only needs to get in there on 4th and 5th.

Having both Ponga and Walsh sniffing around the middle when Hunt controls play 4 and 5 could be deadly. I dont think Mahoney adds sufficient impact.

If NSW dont win this match I wont even know what to say tbh. Facing a hat-trick of losses yet again, 1 win in the last 10 deciders, 4 wins in 19 years, it's just getting embarrassing at this point. If QLD win it'll be the biggest series lead in Origin history.

I hope our boys know how determined they'll be. The roasting our forwards have copped had better get them up for this. We've barely gotten out of 2nd gear this series. No more complacency, no more bullshit. Rip in, go forward and everything else will fall into place.

Remember Qld getting a 5-0 count years ago and its just like dude, that is a fail as a ref. Harrigan was spot on - opening 10 minutes the players get zero latitude. A tackle goes half a second too long, bang penalise and there's ALWAYS one from both sides. If you dont set the tone early you end up with a mosh pit ruck. Letting it go in the first 10 and then trying to reign the players back in always fails.
