Talk of Lomax playing Origin is bizarre to me. Does anyone actually think he's that good?

    I rate Lomax

He made the squad in 2020 but there's too many people ahead of him at both centre and wing

I feel like he’d be more rated if he never got the 800k contract but he’s kind of just decent at everything as a centre and not really great at any one thing.

Maybe if he wasnt at a club who were slightly better at developing players… shame he’s going to Parra.

It's going to be very interesting to see what Billy does with the utility role. I'd be fine if he drops Hunt for Ponga. Hunt has had some really good moments but he's also had some poor games which were forgotten because of said moments.

Ponga's just too deadly to not have on the bench imo

I don't think there's a bad decision to make here. Only thing of Hunt misses out, Harry plays 80. Which could reduce his impact.

Option 3 is having them both on the bench, and playing a forward at 18. That's a huge risk though.

Dropping Ben Hunt for a fullback who can’t defend in the front line would be the most NSW thing to do, it would be glorious just for the lols.

Ben Hunt is the perfect utility, he covers more positions, is a proven defender in the middle at this level, has genuine ability to impact the game from 9 or 13 if not required to cover for injury and has only missed 2 games in the last 6 series.

Hunt is not the perfect utility. Berrigan and Wing were because they genuinely cover centre. Hunt is a pinch-hitter there, at best.

And Ponga had no trouble in his debut because defending in the middle for a short period doesnt expose him to the sort of decision-making you get on an edge. Less room and more support defensively. His debut showed that. Turned the game.

Hunt's service is also very hit and miss, which never gets much attention.

Well, decision has been made for Slater now. Ponga is gone for a while apparently.

Yeah its a shame he's going to miss an entire series for the second year in a row.
