Do you want a utility, like Watson, in the 14 plus a specialist back in the no.17? Or you're just arguing for Watson, alone, which rather negates the point of that article in the first place...

 

And just for the record, after losing an outside back in the first half, of which there were 22 instances, the number of wins is not 6 it's 8. Which makes it 36%, not 27%.

You also have many a game like the Broncos vs Roosters in which Arthurs goes off after 19 minutes. And yet Brisbane got back to 18-all just after half time. They didnt end up getting flogged because fucken Arthurs went off earlier. They got flogged cause Reynolds tore his bicep. These statistics dont mean shit without relevant context and comparison to other positions. Thats before we even mention the anomalous, high injury rate so far this year.

Furthermore, NSW have had literally 1 outside back get injured and taken off in the last 6 games - Tom Trbojevic both times and he is clearly made of glass. Qld had both wingers go down in Game 1 last year and still won with 12 men. Had Coates go down after 28 minutes in Game 1, 2022 - still won. Had Cobbo go down in the 2nd minute of Game 3 that series - still won.

Who gives a shit what some misleading stats in club land suggest? But hey, Im not gonna complain if NSW go into this match with one less forward. One of the starters gets injured and suddenly you're two forwards down on us. Beauty.

The bench is a bit retarded. Why do you need both Young and Olakau-atu? The latter should be starting with Martin on the bench.

Kinda makes me laugh that Tedesco has been dropped for Edwards.

I think Koroisau should've been there.

 

Qld team doesnt get announced til tomorrow but word is Dearden is there, Fifita has been dropped and Cobbo might be on the bench. Hopgood and Jensen may be there too.

 

Jake T is very overrated too imo. Yardage is mediocre.
