    There'd be a big argument for Retzel to come in for Perry. There'd also be an argument to **** off Devonshire, pick 4 straight out bowlers and use Perry as the 5th bowler (not ideal)

    The only way we can win is if we improve our bowling. We have a brilliant top four/five. We fail for the same reasons as the Gamblers, we are short a bowler. I'd be doing everything to improve this. I'd be sacrificing Devonshire's batting for someone who can bowl. Maintain Rolande/Choco/Alec/Ged and bring in someone else in.

    He registered as one but history and his statistics have shown that he is more of an allrounder/bowling all-rounder.

    So you'd have Rolande batting 7 and Choco 8, all for the sake of Rocker who averages 41 with the pill in Origin anyway?

    The funny thing is, Devonshire actually chipped in pretty decently with the ball this Origin series anyway. Devonshire and Hallett weren't the problem. Perry, Alec and Ged having dire series was.

    I think people are underrating Rolande's batting, yeah average is dire, but of late, he's been +30 last two seasons with the bat IIRC. more than capable.

    We don't have a Wilson or BTF. Thus we need an extra bowler. Whether that extra bowler be Jeffy/Charles/Robertson/Lover or what ever they need to be doing better than Devonshire with the ball.

    My 4 wickets in game 2 where I bowled out the tail made me look better than I was :p. It's not desirable to open with Alec either given his better bowling at first change. There aren't a lot of options though unless someone comes through or Lover gets out of seconds.

    Well, that's the thing. It's not all doom and gloom. We should have won game 1 and we were more than in it in game 2. We really weren't far off at all from going 2-0 up. Given the ridiculously bad form from a number of key contributors, I thought that we performed admirably. With a bit of luck and Tyson getting injured, we would have won the series imo.

    If we could rely on Alec, Ged and Choco then there would be no reason to drop Devonshire. The fact is Choco is the only consistent one.

    For mine RE Hallett and Devonshire are fighting over the same spot in the team. The problem is we don't have a batting allrounder in our top six who can take the odd wicket. Taking out Old Mate means we are down an option there. We should hopefully gain a bit of batting balance with Pretzel meaning having RE Hallett at 7 won't be so daunting.

    Also don't reckon Ged needs to lose his spot, it'd be a pretty stupid thing to kick him out IMO if the reason is purely a win/loss record thing, he's definitely the best at it. I understand it if it's just being mentioned because someone else wants a shot at selecting or whatever but kicking him out just from the team losing is pretty stupid IMO.

    Also you would make ridiculous freaking selections Gemmell, can just picture them now.

    Our bowling just ****s us. It's a joke.
    What can you picture? Or are you one of the muppets who has seen Ged pay out my ability to select teams and taken that as gospel? I'm a good CoS, IMO.
