    Excellent choice. Our local clubs gone to shit, they only won one game this year without the mighty Emm (and about 6 other blokes). Was talk of them moving down a group but I'm pretty sure the group south of us (16 I think) will probably fold within the next 5 years.


    It's a shame for bush footy, they're really fucking up group 7 at the moment and I wouldn't be surprised to see it struggle and potentially collapse in the next 10-20 years with the Northern sides just joining the Wollongong comp.

    Honestly think we're going to smoke the Group 3 competition next season. We had a new coach and president come into power a month or two ago and our roster for next season is all but sorted already. Heap of signings/players returning. We managed to re-sign almost every player from last year out of FG. Got the best 4 players from the pub comp come back to us. Included are two brothers who are pretty much the only quality local first grade standard halves who live here that are 20 & 21. Along with a couple of forwards.

    Also Signed a fullback who can run the 100 in less than 11 secs (Scott Gallagher) and was contracted at Cronulla. A 5/8th who was playing up on Central Coast who I haven't seen yet but is apparently the goods, has a gun kicking game and can slot the conversions.

    I'm going to have to be at my best to keep a starting gig. Which is good given I probably could have gone to 0 training sessions and retained my place last season. If we don't take home the premiership I'll be surprised.

    Found that the other day, it's our fullback who's come back.

    That photo is from one of the most painful days of footy I've ever played. Scotty took an intercept on our own tryline pretty much, outpaced Kevin Gordon whilst giving him the bird (pretty much what got him a Cronulla gig) and put it down halfway between the sticks and the sideline which put us up by 2, our kicker slotted it and we were up by 4 with 5 mins left in the final to play in the GF.

    Another bloke who made it to Sydney (Jason McGrady) puts a chip kick over and accross to the left hand side where Gordon was streaming through. Our fullback ended up forcing him into the corner but they scored, the buzzer went off and we stood there to see McGrady slot it from the sideline and knock us out. Brought me to tears tbh.

    Have been informed today that Sean Wessell and Gary Warburton are definite starters for us next year, gives us a grand total of 3 dudes with NRL experience which will be pretty invaluable given how young the team is.

    Gary's old man is coaching and apparently wants to talk to me about coming back but I'm not sure if I will or not. Daresay I'll see him over the chrissy break and see what he's thinking.
