A 7' tablet with a good 3g plan is the gunnest thing of all time. I find surfing/watching videos on the phone to be a bitch while commuting and it fits that niche area of use excellently for me. If one does not move out of the house much and hence has constant and convenient use of the laptop, I don't see the point.
Well apparently people in this thread have found uses for them, everyone else I know simply bought it and used it for a week then forgot about it.
A lot of people got swept up in them early, when they first came out I was fully against them, thought it was a stupid idea, only the last 2-3 months I've realised I'd probably use one quite a bit
I thought the same. Might as well get a laptop but was until I tried it out in store that I realised what a joy it was to use. The only places I know of that provide free wifi are McDonalds and a few cafes around the city. I just use my phone as a personal hotspot and use my phone's data to connect to the net on my iPad.
Always thought they were stupid, just a bigger version of your iPhone. Would much rather a laptop than that shit.
I've used a couple, they actually made me even more against having one. Both were basically an upsized version of my phone... Seeing as I already own a mini-version, that does the same thing and can fit in my pocket, and call people, I don't see why there is a need for me or most other people tbh.
