From the 4th round on, MP. 63: Brown - about 12 more valuable KPPs available. Should have been after 100, probably 130 66: Mackie - he's a good player, but when Birchall and Waters are available and Shaw, Hanley, Heppell, Hartlett, Houli, Suckling, Grimes and Hurn all get picked after pick 110, it's a shocker. Most if not all of the aforementioned are > Mackie and better in age. Mackie's good, but he belongs in the 110-160 pick range along with the others 95: Masten - if the weekend is anything to go by, he's taking the next step. I rate him, I've got him in the SC draft & think he'll be good, but even if he is, picking him ahead of Bennell, Ebert, Martin, Hannebury, Foley, Zaha, Hill, Rich, Hartlett, Barlow, Mundy, Lewis and Wells + unpicked fellas is murder. He's not a top 100 pick, not close. 98: Paine - speaks for itself 127: Rich - a good pick. 130: Wellingham - he's not a top 200 player. Can tag a bit but a soft outside player with 2-3 good games on record. Really not good. At all. So yeah, since heef stopped being involved 4/6 picks have been shockers, Masten being a bad pick but not a shocker. Generally when the last game 50% of the picks in question have played is for the same club, let alone your supported club it's worth considering potential bias.
That wasn't the only reason - i was racking my brain as to which young key forwards were left with potential, and how i missed the remaining good players has completely fucked me.
In rounds 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 he's made awful selections in all bar round 8. Been bottom 3-4 out of 16 in every round bar round 8. I think he was bottom in round 4 and 7 too. Round 7 in particular is worth attention. He picked a player that was a very very late pick in his draft and has played 3 games in 2 years and done SFA. All of this done in the top 100.
I have Rich for winning the inside ball. I saw Wellingham as an outside runner and would suit the feel of the team. That was my thought process behind that pick. I still think Mackie and Brown are decent picks - definitely not terrible, even though there were better players available. Paine can GAGF. Happy with Rich and Masten
MP, idc what others think I really don't think your team should be ruined by one pick. If you'd like to exchange Paine with someone else now you can. The penalty of pick 98 being demoted to pick 160 is pretty hefty enough IMO. You can choose to cop it, sure though. Your call, just offering so you're not completely fucked.
At the end of the day I wouldn't be surprised if Masten ended up being worth pick 100 odd, but when you picked him he definitely wasn't, it was a bad pick. Jaeger O'Meara too was a bad pick but if he ends up going all Rhys Palmer mode this season it turns into a good pick. Wellingham really is shit. Dunno what your thought process was there.
So youre saying you will allow me to pick a player to replace him, and then take my pick after Mousey?
It's harsh, but it's fair. I've seen the ratings too, I'm certain at least until the June adjustment he's going to be the cellar dweller and by a long way.
I know it's not proper to allow him to re-pick 4 rounds later but when it's a case of ruining a whole squad then yeah, it's only fair IMO. Esp. if MP gets bored of losing, fucks off and then nobody will want to join to take over that squad.
